Yo loosers! Getting into IIT is as easy as breathing. I gave the JEE with no preparation at all and got in. However, I did not join the pathetic IIT. I am currently studying in MIT so keep on sulking and dreaming you dumb-witted Indians.

Haha, +1 ^ Mrinal
prudent, you are one “dumb-witted” ■■■■■.

@Prudent- we dont have any space for trolls over here. So you can take your big ego to the MIT thread.

Yo Prudent! You’d better incorporate your name in your personality or I’ll hunt you down and ■■■■■ you irl.

Note to moderator: I’d appreciate if you would remove such posts, instead of just locking/deleting the thread. This thread also has some useful information.

@Mrinal- good one B)

Yo, ■■■■■ hunter…sounds nice :D

Btw, all the best guys with ur college decisions!!

I echo this.

Rankings in the US are based on graduate school research.
They are not as heavily based on the selectivity of the undergraduate education.

For example, Tufts has engineering and the undergraduate students have very high test scores. A big state university will generally be much less selective, but will have a higher ranking, because of the graduate research.

Which is the better choice for an undergraduate education? The small school with exceptional students and less research? Or the big universities with large class sizes and a more professors and graduate students?

I’m sure IIT is a great education, because the student body is talented.

I also like the quote above, from Edison. I have visited his labs, and I think he is one of the most important inventors of all times. However, he couldn’t compare to Tesla in many ways.
