Is it hard to transfer into?

Dude…if you’re wondering about a transfer to any American university, then you have no shot at IIT. I’ve had several family members pass through and my grandfather currently teaches there. The school is a monster just to get into and once your in it does NOT back down. Students, after graduating from high school, often take a year “off” to prep for the IIT entrance examination.

well if u are talkin bout d iit in india den to say dey dont have transfers
secondly dese are d stats
400,000 people give d entrance exam n 400 make thro(1-1.5%)
entrance portions include math (calculus (1 variable) tuff though,co ordinate geometry, vectors, complex numbers, trignometry, combinatorics n probability)
d math paper is tougher than the International math olympiad in some ways
in physics its d first year portion in any college in the us wid loads of calculus
in chemi its organic wid alll mechanisms n inorganic wid almost all d groups n physical too

to show u how tuff it is well i was in AIR(all india ranks(d way indians are ranked at iits)) 29 in the physics olympiad n 63 in the maths olympiad
i had serious advantage in maths n physics bein in top of india i was lathargic in chemistry
i fared in chemi very badly n got an AIR of 3201 way too poor (one mark in d total will set u 200 ranks below).
so am in anna univ
its tuff dere
