I’m an international Student, thought I should make that first.

My SAT scores I (2310) (R:750 W:760 M: 800) My SAT scores (World History: 800 US History:800 MATH IIC: 800)

AP Scores MICROECONOMICS, MACROECONOMICS, CALCULUS AB SUBSCORE, CALCULUS BC, WORLD HISTORY, US HISTORY, ALL 5
US GOVERNMENT 4
ENGLISH LANGUAGE, COMPARATIVE POLITICS, STATISTICS, not out yet lol

GPA 4.85/5.0 unweighted, mostly AP subjects. The Bs I had were taught in my native language, which I am not quite fluent at.

Extracurricular.

I started three companies, and hold a provisional patent. They are very related to my career, and are all incorporated. These are mostly related to banking, though one (patent) is sports equipment.

One of them is a non-profit, and I donated money through it. :slight_smile:

I’m the president of the finance club, and participated in two economics clubs, a mock trial club, and a history club.

I uploaded a 45,000 word history guide for students, world history.

Also, I wrote a paper on history and religion, 9,000 words. Another paper I wrote for school, won an award, on constitutions. Another paper I wrote for school on the Petrodollar, 5,000 words.

I am also a consultant for a small company based in New York and other countries. (PAID)

I also volunteered at a south east asian country, and received internship hours.

I also taught fellow students in history and mock trial.

ALso (I say this a lot) I did cross country, won two awards on it (NOT VARSITY, just an activity)

I won several national and school awards, though I only have a few international awards.

I’m applyin to STANFORD for REA, and UVA (JEFF).

But I wonder, should I apply to Wharton and CHicago? for early ofc.

Tell me what, or how much, I fit.

well, for anyone, the colleges that you plan on applying to are reaches, regardless if they have 2400s and 4.0s.

UVA you may have a decent chance, but i wouldnt bank on an admission.

make sure you have some safeties and match schools, but this depends on what you want to apply to… i see wharton so im guessing business…

some good buisness schools include umd(smith), ann arbor, UNC chapel hill, Minnesota twin cities

Stanford: Well, it’s Stanford. What did you expect?
UVa: OOS status is a huge disadvantage.

Can you pay, btw? How much can you pay yearly?

If you do’nt need FA, then voila, you have lots of choices. IF you do, well…your chances are slim

Well I mean you are international and the competition is fierce. What’s your income bracket like? That is a sort of a huge factor. You are interested in economics and finance. So that’s a plus. Just work on the essays and see where it goes from there. Just don’t expect an automatic acceptance from Stanford; lord know difficult it is to get in. You will get into many fantastic schools.

Oh wow. Then you have an increased chance if you’re full pay. Go for it.

I’d say UVA is a pretty good bet for you. I know UVA pretty well, and you sound like the type of kid they’d be all over.
As for Stanford, that will be harder, but not impossible.

LOL…you must be out of your mind…do you even know where you are applying to? It drives me absolutely crazy when international students are like this.

UVa is one of the top state university that is academically on par with top private universities. That “lower tier” school has rejected lots and lots of out-of-state students who are even more qualified than you are.

Sorry, I seem to have misrepresented myself. By “Lower Tier,” I’m referring to the U.S. Ranking.

Sorry English is not my first language, and I was only trying to compare the schools.

Apologies if I offended anyone :slight_smile: I am merely trying to compare the schools.

UVA is an awesome school, and I have every attention of going there if I get accepted, I would not apply otherwise.
