Illinois directional increasing merit aid

From a press release:

(Emphasis added.)

That may be nice if you are in-state but only $7k for an out of state student hardly makes a dent.

That’s nice. $7K is about 1/3 of a year’s cost so it’s not insignificant.

Our kid just completed a first semester there and so far we’re satisfied with the quality of the education. They offered a $2K transfer scholarship based on transfer GPA and 30 credit hours minimum.

there’s a fine business school for a directional, actually.

I’m glad to see an illinois school doing something like this.

Good for them; that’s how you get better students and improve your student body.
