ILR =>> Management Consulting?

Would ILR prepare you well for management consulting? Not Human Resources consulting, more like strategy or financial, although I’m not too sure. Thanks

perhaps if you pursued an MBA afterwards…

if you insist on applying to ILR (even though AEM or even CALS in general would be a better fit for management) then consider getting a Business Minor at Cornell by taking econ101/2, statistics, financial & managerial acctng, business management, and finance…

It’s a program grounded in the social sciences. Of course.

But I think you kids need to start reading the newspapers. I don’t think there will be much of a management consulting or financial services industry in five years. At least not of the type that we have seen in the last twenty. Everything should have come crashing down after the tech bubble, but extreme amounts of debt kept us bubbling along for the last seven years. And the pain is only going to be so much more harsh.

Agriculture, environmental science, and engineering, though, those are the growth industries. If you ask me.

surely the Amero will boost financial services? :stuck_out_tongue: :slight_smile: :D

(:

art history would prepare you well for management consulting

Do you guys know much about the Consulting Club at Cornell? From what I read on the website, it looks really great, but I’d like to talk to someone who’s actually been in it or knows about it to get a feel for what they actually do.
