I'm A Complete Failure

Hi everyone this is my first time posting :]

Anyways I just got my SAT scores which really ruined my day:
CR:680 M:610 W: 540 - 1830/2400
I really felt like I was going to do better…Anyways I’ll be retaking it in and hoping to break the 2000’s in October
SAT II: I’m taking these in June - American History, Math II and Spanish
School: Regular public school, but it’s a good school in a good district
GPA: around 3.6

Awards and Extracurricular:

 • AVID
 • Tennis

Community Service:

 • Planning to be a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital this summer
 • part of Volunteer San Diego, do some random volunteer hours

Applying to UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara and others. I’d be a first generation student if that’s relevant.

Thank you in advance.

You are not a complete failure!

UC Davis-match/low reach
UC Santa Barbara-match/low reach

An 1830 is not a bad score! I got a 1850 and I’m at berkeley! (though i used my ACT score, not my SAT, it was a 30, and translated to around 1950)

Tips:
Improve SAT to 1900+ (youre going to do that, good)
Try taking the ACT too and score 30 or higher
Take a class at a local city college that is UC transferable
Start your essay early, the essay prompts just changed, and I doubt it will change again for a long time.

I realistically see you at LA or Berkeley if you try to improve your EC involvements/leadership.

Good Luck!
