I'm a Computer Science Major, but Programming for CIS Major 1 is full/not available?

I'm a Computer Science Major, but Programming for CIS Major 1 is full/not available?

I starting Spring, as a first semester freshman. I didn't get admitted for fall, so I had one of the last chances for picking classes so obviously the class I most wanted was completely full.

I'm really interested in learning about Computer Science, and that class is on the tracking sheet too. :( So right now I'm forced to take a one day a week easy 1-credit class, Intro to Engineering instead.

Do you think if I talk to someone up there they will open up a seat for me? Or should I leave it at that, and wait for the Summer or Fall Semester? Do you think there will be spots open during the Drop/Add Period?

My major tracking sheet: <a href="http://www.cise.ufl.edu/academics/undergrad/cse/cse-tracking-2008.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.cise.ufl.edu/academics/undergrad/cse/cse-tracking-2008.pdf</a></p>

always talk to your adviser when a critical tracking course is full.

^ You need to talk to either Paul or Todd. You can try emailing them but I would suggest going to seem them in person asap. 4th floor of the CISE building
