I'm a mom going to college.

I’m a Junior at a public high school in Colorado and I have a baby. Most people have told me I shouldn’t consider colleges outside of my state, but I REALLY want to keep my options open. My main reasons for staying close to home is that I can have the support of family in case my son needs care, but I have family in Nashville and my Grandma would love to help in any way that she can… therefore, my best out of state option is probably Vanderbilt.

Stats:

GPA: 3.95w

JR Year Classes:
AP French
AP Language & Composition
Honors Chemistry
US History
Precal. B

SATs from March (I’m retaking them in May… maybe I’ll improve my scores?)
CR- 670
Math- 710
Writing- 680

As you can imagine, my extra curriculars are limited… but I’ve done a fair share of community service, working, clubs at school, sports (pre-baby), etc…

So what would my best chances be in getting in at Vanderbilt? Any advice on increasing my chances at my top school?

Thanks!! :)

your GPA is good, but still, try to get at leat a 4 on all your AP’s. Increase your Standerdized, and i think you should be gtg!
