I found pens I love a few years ago and ordered a supply. Some have disappeared into DS’ backpack, some have run out of ink. I just went to the website and ordered more. For some reason it makes me happy to know that these pens are coming. The pens are almost impossible to find in the US, so I order them from Japan (free shipping):

They come in lots of colors but blue-black is my favorite. Very fine points are available (0.5, 0.38, 0.28 mm). Does anyone else go crazy over office products?

It’s nice when something so simple brings so much pleasure! Lol! I’m tempted to try the but I would lose them before I got through a day. I WILL say that I have a very warm fuzzy feeling about mechanical pencils.

I’m a nerd too, who loves to draw without smudging. I’m partial to Pentel Energel pens - my son is a leftie, and he introduced me to them. Smoooooth. I also love drawing with Pitt Pens. They are felt tip, and come in different nib sizes.

I am not particilarly attached to any office products. Baby kiddo is! She is also wild about some gel pens. :slight_smile: Thank goodness Costco carries an assortment!

I have found my people; I love a smooth writing pen. I am like a little kid with colored ink

The Pilot G-2s, the purple Pentel Energel and the Zebra Sarasa multi color pens are my pens of choice.

Pilot G-2s used to be my favorites, sybbie. Until I found the ones I linked above.

NYMomof2, I have gotten them off of ebay in the past. Romanigypsyeyes- those Pentels look sweet. Love the colors.

I love nice, smooth pens, too. Thanks for all the suggestions here (now I’m going to have to try them all). There are a few lefties in my family who would probably appreciate the Energel pen.

My DD has a rank order of favorite pens. I prefer pencils, Ticonderoga Black triangular, to be precise.

@onward you should try them. You can get 'em pretty cheap.

My sister got me hooked on them. She uses them because they quick dry and she’s a leftie.

I can’t do pencils because the way I write makes it smear :frowning:

I recently bought a huge box of Ticonderoga pencils for S2 and was so excited for him to try them. (He normally likes mechanical, except for on testing days.) He was not as enthusiastic as I was but he liked them. I am a pen freak too and have stocked my office and house with Papermate gel retractable .5 mm fine point pens. I need to print very small at work and these are smooth and fine. But… Now I’m curious to try what you all have recommended to see if they knock my favorite out of its top spot.

I used to steal my dad’s who brought those from Europe but they are now easily available. I buy mine on Amazon – as almost all my supplies. Goes well with the Leuchtturm notebooks.

NYMom, I use these pens or something very, very similar. Definitely Uni-Ball. I’ll have to check my supply at work and compare the model. I bought them for stocking stuffers for my kids for Christmas!! Picked them up at Kroger!

I’m wondering if OP’s favorites are basically the same as the Uniball Signo 207 pens I get all the time from Staples.
