That’s good to know. I have a full bed in my current apartment but the bed in the model trailer didn’t look nearly as big. Thanks for clarifying.

peacemkr59: I hope I have other freshmen with me…don’t know about that until I move in. I think I’m going to have to work a little harder to make friends, but that’s okay with me. =D

**what are the benefits of the LEAD scholars program? **

Exactly what it says on the postcard thingy. I don’t have much experience but I have a friend that’s in it and she says it has been greatly beneficial to her learning. I believe they also do events too so it’s like a big study group really.

Which is better, Libra double rooms or Apollo double rooms? Nike/Hercules is my first option, but just in case I don’t get it, I still want a nice room… And which location of Libra would be better? Libra double room- Citrus, Sumter, and Flagler halls, or Brevard, Orange, and Seminole halls?

I personally liked Libra better than Apollo.

Orange, Brevard and Seminole Halls- are 17’8 by 16’8.
Citrus, Sumter and Flagler Halls- are 13 by 15’3. These rooms have a bigger bathroom to make up for the smaller room.

Libra, just like dance2nite said.
All the Libra dorms are basically all near each other so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.

Which is the best fro freshman>>> Hercules/Nike or Libra or Apollo?
If you are international do you have to live in Libra?
Is the towers worth the money?

Sorry for the late response daviaa. There wasn’t a reply in a while so I checked this topic less and less.

I’d go Libra/Apollo if you want better location to class, or Herc/Nike if you want a better location to the Pool/Gym/Much better parking lot
I haven’t heard anything about international students having a single housing option.
From my understanding of people living at the towers, it’s a bit overpriced but if you are extremely concerned for your safety it’s a good pick. Warning: The towers don’t have housecleaning ladies like the AV does (;

AV??? and also is the forensic program any good? plus what is up with this evaluation thing for ucf admissions i’m from jamaica and i don’t know what documents to send and stuff to world education services. is there any chance you have jamaican friends who know what to do?

My bad: AV = the academic village which is Nike and Hercules.

I don’t know much about the forensic program as I try to stay clear of the Chemistry building. Other people that I know majoring in it have mixed feelings. Some feel it’s amazing and others feel like they should have just gone a Chem major.

I have no idea. The only presence of Jamaican students I have seen on campus were two girls outside the Science building during my orientation I’m sorry I can’t assist you there.

is there any chance you could get one of them to tell me abit more about it??

Right now i am attending my local community college in Florida & i wouldl like to transfer to UCF in the near future. By the time i transfer i will probably have around 40-50 credits with around a 3.6 GPA having taken CHEM 1& 2 Calculus1& 2 english comp 1 & 2 etc… I’m trying to get into their Aerospace/mechanical engineering program and was wondering what are my chances or should i look into another school? Also even though i was in honors & AP classes during high school, i didn’t really take the time to do well so i got a 3.1 GPA for my entire HS career… i don’t know how that would affect me since i’ve taken hard college classes and done well in them but for what it’s worth there it is.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

I will try. I will get back to you via a private message.

I’m sure you’ll be fine. Even with a 3.1 in high school you showed improvement and a 3.6 is no joke in college. There are plenty of people here with lesser stats so if they can get in so can you :)

Thank you for your reply… and do you think I have a chance of getting in without having completed my AA at the community college? Also, what’s it like going to UCF and living in Orlando? Never been to Orlando but from what I’ve read it seems nice enough lol!

Thanks in advance!

thnks moksha

Yep, they accept transfers with less than 60 credits. Going to UCF is very fun. There’s never a dull moment on campus One day could be filled with performers, others could have protesters for all kinds of subjects, and other days you could see Jesus being crucified(This happened just a few weeks ago with the Catholic club). As for Orlando itself, just be sure you’re not a nervous driver. Know where you’re going and stick to it. Orlando isn’t too bad. It’s like a suburb (where UCF is) just with worst traffic.

^

That scares me, because I’m a horrible driver. I’ve never even drove on the highway before… wonder how the transition from driving around my neighborhood to driving 3 hours to Orlando is gonna be like, lol.

Do they offer planners or agendas at UCF or should I go ahead and by one?

Me too. I learned fast ;D I don’t take the highway to UCF since I’m too cheap to pay tolls. Take 426

**Do they offer planners or agendas at UCF or should I go ahead and by one? **
They do… somewhere. I think you get one from orientation but I am not sure. They should let you know where to get one soon. I personally just use the calendar you get when you first get your dorm room.

is it worth staying in the dorms for the exeperience… in a few words describe what its like and did you get paired up randomly or did you already kno the person?

(if u dormed obviously lol)
