Im applying to ucsb with a chemistry major. I was looking at its requirements and I saw that chemistry fell under college of creative studies. So in addition to the uc application I’d have to apply to that program too. Am I understanding that correctly? Do I need to do that?

Also it says I can’t apply to TAG with this major. I really hope I’m reading this wrong. Anybody with a chemistry major that TAG?

You apply as one major which is a part of one college.

I understand that part. What I don’t understand Is do you I hve to apply to the creative college. I don’t know if I’m just not looking properly but I would think that ucsb would have a college of science like other ucs that include chemistry. Itll be such a bummer if I can’t TAG just because my major is chemistry.

I just said you apply as one major.

nevermind i found the answer to my question. Chemistry falls under BOTH the colleges of Letters of Science and Creative Studies. therefore, i dont have to restrict myself to the college of creative studies.

^Correct. So you can definitely TAG to chemistry at UCSB.
