im having an existential crisis and i need some confirmation

<p>some of my top colleges choices include NYU and Columbia (that is my reach, <em>maybe they’ll give e a shot</em> school)</p>

<p>i would like to know if i should even bother, i meant the worst thing that could happen is i get a no. </p>

<p>i honestly screwed up my junior year (i graduate in 2015).
i had a real mental crisis, i have to go to therapy and might get prescribed meds. because im suffering from depression and stress
i didnt do well on my regents and AP tests.
i already took 2 SAT’s and cant get past a 1700

<p>Well, you will probably not be admitted to NYU and definitely not Columbia, but like you said, it can’t hurt to try if it’s truly your dream schools. Maybe look at the CUNYs if you’re interested in NYC?</p>
