<p>well im doing a sat course in my country with some people that are supposed to be the best there is. long story short, they are using non- CB tests… now im getting 1900’s in their tests but im getting around 2050 in the collegeboard tests im doing home…
the only difference when taking their tests and the cb tests is that i dont go straight through when i do my tests home. at home i take about 2 sections then i break… could that inflate my score? im so scared that im gonna mess up this oct exam :(</p>
<p>That could definitely inflate your score. The SAT is a long test, and your ability to concentrate will decrease once you’ve been filling in bubbles for hours on end. Naturally you’ll do better when you take breaks than when you take the whole thing straight through.</p>
<p>Practice tests are a good opportunity to get used to the length of the test. You should try doing some of the real CB practice tests the way the real test will be administered - give yourself approximately a 10 minute break after every hour of testing. This should give you the most accurate idea of what your scores will be like. And don’t stress over “messing up” - you’ve still got plenty of time left to prepare.</p>
