I'm kinda torn

I am currently a senior in high school and I am about to begin my last semester of high school. My GPA is a 2.3 and part of it was due to and unconventional beginning to high school(a lot of bullying and depression). Looking ahead I wish I could have moved past it and concentrated on only my grades but now I feel like mailing it in. I know I am going to CC and transferring to a 4-year, but at the same time I still want to finish strong with all A’s or something like that but I also ask myself what the point is if every university I’ve applied to denied me. I didn’t have a lot of EC’s either so that didn’t help and the fact that my family is chock full of college graduates who grafuated high school top of their class doesn’t either because I’ll have to hear about it from them until I get into a 4-year university. So how do I stay motivated. Thanks in advance.

You can’t change the past, so why fret it?

There are some universities that would accept a 2.3, depending on test scores, and a good positive trend to end high school would impress colleges to which you apply for transfer, if you do decide to go that route. You can start afresh at your CC, with a 0.0 and endless possibilities.

Inspirational story: a student I know goofed off in high school. Was only accepted to ASU with conditional admission - ie he had to maintain a certain GPA to stay enrolled. He worked his butt off while at ASU, earning straight As, and was able to transfer to Reed as a junior. Graduated from that very rigorous school with great grades, took the LSAT, and was admitted to Harvard Law…

You can stay motivated if you set some goals, develop a plan of action, and then stick to it! Prove the critics wrong

You have less than 6 months! You’re not a freshman with 4 years left. What a way to stay motivated!
Just think, you will be out and ready to face your college experience!

go to whichever college will accept you (yes, you will be accepted by a college) or and KICK SOME ASS AND GET STRAIGHT A’S. You can’t change the past, so don’t dwell on it. Learn from it, and work hard for the future. YOU GOT THIS
