I'm lost, help please?

Hi, I’m currently attending Stern as a freshman and i’m looking into transfering. Stern is a wonderful place to be but I feel that I’m putting too big a financial burden on my parents so I would like go to a school that will give me full or almost full scholarship. [Is this a reason not good enough for transfer?] I am currently a finance major but I would like to be in marketing instead.

Here are my stats:

I’m worried about my recs since I’m in classes with many MANY other students… I do have two professors in mind but should I ask for a rec from my golf team coach also?

I applied to UPenn for freshmen admission but was waitlisted. Does this decrease my chances of getting in as a transfer? What if I apply again to a school I was rejected from?

I’m considering UTA as my safety since I’m in-state and was admitted for freshmen admission, but since i rejected them does this also decrease my chances of getting in?

What colleges would give full scholarship in undergraduate business school? My EFC was near 0.

I don’t have a set list of schools I want to apply to. Any suggestions, please?

If you are recruitable for golf, maybe.

No it doesn’t decrease your chances. If you were rejected from a school, it might mean you don’t have what they’re looking for; it might have been the luck of the draw (the selective schools all have to reject well-qualified applicants); you might look stronger to them this year.

No. Not at all.

This you will have to research - merit $$ is very stingy for transfers. But some schools offer it. With your EFC very low, check the schools’ policies on % need filled for transfer students.

Good luck.

Financial considerations are always important and can easily justify a transfer.
I have no idea where a transfer could find a full/almost full ride.
