I'm planning to do Pre-Med in college. Should I take out MIT?

I’m majoring in chemistry, which will hopefully lead me to medicine. I know all five of the schools I’m applying to are excellent in their pre-med programs: JHU, WUSTL, Cornell, MIT, and Emory. However, I’ve been thinking of taking out MIT just because it seems more focused on a math/engineering level. I’d consider myself a competitive applicant, by the way.

Okay… that didn’t entirely answer my question. BUMP!!! 35 views and only 1 answer? plz help!!

A chemistry major should include most of the typical pre-med courses except for biology, so at any of the universities in question, you’ll be adding a year’s worth of biology courses to your chemistry major.

[MIT requires biology, chemistry, physics, and math as breadth requirements](<a href=“Welcome! < MIT”>Welcome! < MIT) in any case (yes, even if you are a humanities or social studies major). More information on [chemistry at MIT](<a href=“MIT Department of Chemistry – Department of Chemistry at MIT”>MIT Department of Chemistry – Department of Chemistry at MIT) is available (note the link to the page on pre-med requirements).
