i am interested in a political science and drama double major
THANKS :D

Sorry but i also wanted to add the one activity that I enjoy the most and am the most proud of. I conduct what is called peer mentoring for children who are from the the less fortunate families in Singapore every Saturday. These kids are could be in grade 4 and are not capable of doing simple additions. Even though it is really irritating at times because they just won’t listen. I realize now that i really love these kids cause they are just like us and they just want to have fun

the political science and drama double major thing can work to your advantage, given that drama is a rather uncommon major choice for most singaporeans. and i see that you have gone beyond the mere “acting in plays” to actually interning at a drama company and getting to know the community/industry well, so that would work in your favour and could be potentially be a very interesting part of your application.

your IB grades are on track and should be fine. as for sat, it is too early to tell but you can definitely work towards a good score.

the only not-so-good impression i get of your application is that you seem to be engaging in a bit of resume-padding, with the usual suspects like school orientation council and model UN. while some really do have the passion for such activities, make sure it does authentically and significantly display your true personality before you put it in. and as for the peer mentoring part, if it truly was the one activity that you “enjoy the most and are most proud of”, why was it added later on, as if it was an afterthought? Not to question your commitment and passion towards this activity, but you should really critically reflect upon your experiences thus far and choose to focus on those and do well on those that you truly are interested in and want to pursue to a greater level just for satisfaction’s sake.

and of course, before worrying too much abt the application per se, if you truly want to get started, you could perhaps consider a list of schools that you want to go to, and slowly narrow the list down. i see you have mentioned dartmouth, columbia and pton - find out more abt these schools, what makes them special, what makes you a good fit for them, before you go on to commit yourself to these schools as your “ideal schools”.

thanks this really helped
