i know i need to calm down, but all my friends did ED and they got into excellent places!!

In at CMU, possibly in at Caltech and Penn, highly unlikely for you to get into Columbia/Princeton/MIT. Your EC’s aren’t good. Period.

Thanks for your reply! my brother is a sophmore right now and he’s trying to follow my path, so wat EC’s am i missing that hee can do?

Your brother needs more ECs that don’t relate to studying. Have them too, but have a passion in something other than studying. You mentioned tennis. Your brother should definitely become very active in a sport, alongside the academic based teams.

You can certainly have strong ECs that are still related to studying. Such examples include having a leadership role in a debate team that scores very well, a science/math team that scores very well in local events, academic decathlon, ASB, etc. It certainly won’t hurt you if you make your ECs as having a lot of school spirit and being passionate about school/learning.
