Hi…
I read the recommendation post which is featured topic on this forum. Anyhow, I actually have the recommendations myself and I’m mailing them out with the common application to Bentley & NEU…Is this going to hurt me in particular? I’m also attaching a Printed recommendation (which is more detailed then the one on paper) and putting that behind one of them…(and this was done by the teacher)…So would they take this as being less honest or what? For the printed recommendation through word, should I by any chance have my teacher sign it just to be on the safe side or it wont’ hurt? Because few paragraphs on the printed recomm (from one of the teachers) is the same as she wrote on the paper but just expanded and wrote a little bit more about me…
So please advice what I should do in this case…
Also since the deadline is Dec 1st…does the application need to be sent by Dec 1st or do they need to recieve it by the 1st?
P.S>…Do I need to send a resume? Northeastern said something like send resume with EC? Or does the Common Application part of EC cover that?

“should I by any chance have my teacher sign it just to be on the safe side or it wont’ hurt?”

I put my teacher’s rec in an evelope and had her sign the opening of the envelope, and I put THAT envelope inside another to imitate honesty, =)

the post office has to “POSTMARK” it by December 1st, meaning stamp it witht he december 1st date.

So should I put TEI in one envelope and TEII in the other or should i put all the recommendations together & have one teacher or guidance councelor sign it?

I heard from my college counselor that unless you sign that line that says that you will no read the recs the colleges will not really even look at the recs because they know they are so biased.

My teachers actually wrote mine and I have not read them

I was just asking cause I never saw the agreement where it told me I can waiver my right to see the recommendations…Plus integrity is not the point

Go put them in individual envelopes and have your teacher’s name and the school address as the return address. Then go send it out. That’s what I did. When my teachers were done, they gave me the envelope and I sent them out.
