when the heck do i get to learn something other than programming in CS? its getting old. ill do anything, computer hardware, networking, whatever else there is to learn. im tired of programming!

yeah, this thread is kind of a joke. im just sick of doing homework. but out of curiosity, what other topics are there to learn for computer science?

There are lots of areas of computer science which have varying levels of programming involvement. There’s theoretical areas like algorithms and theory of complexity which really have very little to do with programming, areas which involve some programming like robotics or computer graphics, as well as areas which focus on programming mainly like software engineering.

yea, im still in “CS 101” i guess you could say. im just wondering what i can look forward to in the future, and what else there is besides pure programming. and the only major i would even consider switching to is computer engineering. ill check my course catalog and compare some classes i guess.
