I'm so lost-- My future seems hopeless

I was a 2013 high school graduate and was accepted to a St. Johns University a liberal art school in MN, USA. I completed two short summer courses and my first fall semester. During spring semester I was caught smoking the Devil’s cabbage on campus like the idiot I was back then and I was suspended and forced to withdraw from spring semester. I worked for the remainder of the next two semesters to pay off the money I owed for my first unsuccessful year of college and eventually paid that off, and applied to be readmitted, which I was and halfway throughout the spring semester which I had began in the same thing happened in a different scenario but nonetheless I was suspended again and now I am back at square 1. I need help. I have already began paying off my new school debt but I feel like time is flying by and my opportunities are diminishing. I just need help with being positive and getting started all over again. Where do I begin?

Apply to your local CC. Be successful. No more suspensions from here on out. If you achieve a strong GPA while completing your associates you can then transfer into possibly your State School/s(whatever they may be) or possibly another private school. Hopefully after maintaining a good a disciplinary history and hopefully a strong GPA while at the CC, you will then have many great opportunities still available to you.
Just my ideas. May not be the best suited plan of action, but CC’s are not a bad way to save money and start an education in the right direction.
