I need to express my frustration with our bleeping school district
Not only did we allow 34 million dollars to * disappear* a few years ago, we still apparently don’t have safety nets in place for taxpayer money.

An entry level home in Seattle will run you at least $500,000 ( if you can find one), we don’t have decent public transportation, but if you move to the suburbs it is called “white flight”, (even though some suburbs have a higher percentage of minorities & more children attending public schools)

Gah-

I really can’t believe it.

This was from 4 years ago

[“The board wasn’t told the truth,” says incumbent Brown, seeking to explain how he and his colleagues could have missed a $35 million shortfall. District staff simply provided wrong budget numbers that appeared to make sense, according to Brown and other board members.](<a href=“http://www.seattleweekly.com/2003-08-20/news/school-board-follies.php]"The”>http://www.seattleweekly.com/2003-08-20/news/school-board-follies.php)

I know we have corruption and incompetence in many areas of government/business, but when our kids are being directly affected- it just hits so much closer to home.
