<p>Sorry, I’ve just been nervous lately about UCLA. I got into my #2 UCSD, but chance me for my #1 UCLA?</p>

State: CA
College Class Year: 2012
High School: Competitive public (at least 30 people applied)
Major: Undeclared
Income: High
SAT: 2110
SATII: 720/690
GPA: 3.75/4.2
Ranking: idk. was part of ELC, though. So top 9%.
APs: 34444</p>

<p>Senior Year Course load:
AP Government
AP Psych
AP Lit
AP French
AP Environmental
(no math because i took it over the summer so i can have a free period this year)</p>

<p>Extra./ Clubs/Teams:
-AcaDec (3 years)
-Mock Trial (2 years)
-Cartoonist for school newspaper
-Art Club (4 years)</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:
-Volunteered in soup kitchen 3 years (awarded High School Leader)
-Volunteered to teach Vietnamese student English (My guidance counselor later told me that she was actually around the corner listening to me offer him English lessons)
-Parents sent me to Vietnam to work in an orphanage there.</p>

<p>Honor Societies/Awards:
-In the process of getting book published from small publishing house.
-Essay awards, writing award from English teacher
-Various art awards, art publications, designed logo for image protection company
-AP Scholar
Other: Took math and philosophy over at the community college over the summer. A’s in both.
I thought my essays were pretty good. My english teacher said he got shivers.
Did not receive a supplement.</p>

<p>Hey! I’m viet too. Pretty cool how your parents sent you to vn! Anyways, I think you’re a high match for UCLA. I have very similar stats as you except for 4.0UW/4.3W and I got into Berkeley w/ Regents. UCLA doesn’t seem like a problem for you, especially with Undeclared major.</p>

<p>You have a very nice chance of getting in, not because of your stats, but your extracurriculars! Good luck! If neither of us get in, though, at least we have SD. Having your #2 accept you makes things more…breathable. </p>
