I'm still undecided between UCSC and CSF...

I got accepted to both schools but I only got officially got accepted in the computer science major in CSF but not UCSC. Apparently, I did not satisfy the testing requirements to get into cs in UCSC but I can still try to work my way there through earning grades in both my math and science classes qualify for the cs major, but its not guaranteed. I want to go to a UC but if I don’t get into cs, I wont know if thats really my calling.

Based on this: https://ua.soe.ucsc.edu/admissions, there are certain requirements to switch into CS. I haven’t been able to find anything that says what GPA cutoff there is (if any) or if the application process is competitive. Based on this: https://ua.soe.ucsc.edu/declare-your-major, it may just be a case of filling out the proper paperwork after attaining a high enough GPA. If anyone else happens to know what this process is like at UCSC, feel free to add on or correct me; I’m just going based on what the department webpages say.

Regardless, if you want the sure bet then CSF (I’m guessing that’s Fullerton?) is the safest due to the direct admit.
