I'm stuck!

I’m Celena, a junior in highschool. It’s always been stressed to me how important the ACT really is, so I started taking it at the end of my freshman year. 8 times so far, and my highest score is a 28. I’ve been through every study book known to man and have even had my parents fork out 500 bucks for a tutor. The tutoring raised my score from a 26 to a 28, but I literally feel like I am stuck at a 28. I feel like I’ve maxed out on everything and I have no where to turn. PLEASE HELP!

What grade are you in currently?

A junior; 11th grade.

Ok, a big thing that I found that helped me out with the ACT was reviewing my practice tests. Even though you might have already done most of the practice tests out there, you can still go over the mistakes you made and really understand why you made those mistakes. One of my strategies when taking practice tests was taking the test first, then giving it to my parents for them to grade. This way, I could try and re answer all the questions I missed a second go and see if I could understand what I did wrong. Then, I would check all the answers I got wrong, even the ones I got right the first time, with the in depth explanations. The ACT is predictable and if you learn the tricks, it definitely becomes easier. If you can, try and look for more practice tests and implement this strategy. I also got tips for specific sections if you would like them.
