I'm sure this has been asked before, but does Stanford count freshman year?

I've heard conflicting reports. Was this a policy in the past done away with, or still in place. The reason I ask is because I believe I would be a more competitive applicant if they in fact do not (though I probably would have a chance even if not). Please respond!

(Apologies in advance, since this probably has been asked before)

if it's been asked before, you could look in previous threads...
also knowing the answer doesn't actually do anything, your grades are what they are...

but no they do not look at freshman grades. with that said, however, they will be able to see them, and they will not put in the effort of recalculating a GPA without your freshman year grades

Technically, they will look at them. If you think you can get away with really bad freshman year grades, think again. That said, your grades after freshman year will carry more weight in the application process.
