<p>It is because everything comes down to politics. The majority of our policies, guidelines, rules and even ECs have all to do with politics. The things you believe in also directly align themselves with politics. Power (political influence) and money run this world. If you disagree, you are hiding from the truth.</p>

<p>well basically a sort of elitist theory there which i would say is true to some extent. power(i wouldn’t necessarily say political since a lot of bureacrats influence a lot of power) and money r the key really.</p>

When someone posts something like “I’ve won National Awards from the American Red Cross.” They really don’t want your comment saying that “I don’t like the Red Cross. They are demanding to be taken to where we are holding the terrorists, wut the freaking hell?” That comment is no way useful to anyone. But the way you used could have easily sparked a debate.</p>

they think they’re super cool just cause they all get accepted to UVA ED (my HS is a magnet for that place!).</p>

<p>lol UVA is a joke in-state esp for ED. UVA is even a joke in-state for RD. just get 3.9+ GPA and 1500+ SAt and ur set even with no ECs.</p>
