I am currently a 10th grader in HS and i make OK grades I try my hardest and it doesnt seem to help my classes this year
9th grade:
Eng. honors
German 1
History Honors
Biology Honors
Drafting
Career research
Geometry ( wasnt passing honors)
So i got my schedule picker for next year and i am applying to the academy of FAME which is an art type that works with art students and i also am wanging to get into AP classes but for AP science it would have to be AP Biology and not chemistry and i want to be a nurse. I dont know what i should take.

By OK grades i mean like B’s A’s and a C

You seem to be putting the cart before the horse. Cornell and its peers are among the most selective colleges extant. Your valedictorian will have an uphill climb getting into it. Why are you focused on a single school at this point? Your sole focus should be how to do great in the most rigorous schedule that allows you to excel. The fact is you’ve hit some reality and the Bs and a C have hit your transcript.

Take AP Bio and AP Chem whenever you can. Practice for ACT/SAT but don’t focus on a single school (Cornell). When you’ve taken the ACT/SAT, then evaluate your transcript and see what is a reasonable list of schools for you to target. Your guid counselor can assist you greatly. Especially if nursing is your goal.

To be frank, unless you radically improve, schools like Cornell should not be on your list come Senior year. Good luck to you.
