i'M WORRIED!

Because i lack many AP classes, and i don't have any national extracurriculars, and on top of that I'm asian, I feel like I have absolutely zero chance of getting into Cornell ED. AHHHHHH
Tell me if my fears are irrational or completely justified. Ill post stats in a little bit.

You’re ok, don’t worry too much. If you had no national awards for say, MIT or Harvard, id say you had minimal chance, but a lot of people get into Cornell with no national awards.

well your post on here is sort of irrational because we have no idea what your grades or anything are… you’re just saying OMG CONSOLE ME PLZ and hoping for a happy answer.

i didn’t take too many AP’s, and i had no national ec’s. calm your pants down and do what you can and don’t sweat what you can’t change! you’ve already put in the effort you’ve chosen to put in in the past, there’s nothing you can do to change that. apply to cornell and hope that they’ll take you, and apply to easier schools that may be more realistic. that’s all there is to it.

I’m assuming you’re a rising senior? I’d say try to make your senior summer/year as spectacular as possible, and/or maybe consider applying RD. It’s not too late to take a few more APs, volunteer extra hours, improve test scores, have an awesome midyear report, etc. Write an absolutely mind-blowing essay. Make an impact that goes beyond your race and courseload. That’s all anyone can really do…

RELAX! My goodness! Take it easy! Don’t get all bent out of shape! Yes, you are an Asian, you can’t change that. You’re lack of national awards really isn’t as big a deal as I’m sure you think it is and as for AP classes 1. It’s too late now to do anything about that and 2. they look at what your school offers you! So just relax and apply, there is no harm in applying!

People really need to posting without facts to back up their assertions…

I am sick and tired of these threads. They are pointless.
