Essay isn’t super-duper-original, but well-written and memorable. Ish.

Thank you for reading! And hopefully responding?.. if you have time…

Oh, and this is basically my first time doing this, if I’m making a faux pas by putting this in the college’s forum and not some other “what are my chances” forum, please let me know.

ECs are on the weaker side. Did you get a lot of volunteering hours?
I think you have a good chance, I’d say about 50/50, so pretty much you have good enough stats but it’s all a matter of standing out from the competition so do that in your essays!!!

I don’t know exactly how many service hours altogether, especially for 9th and 10th since we weren’t required to keep track, but NHS and NFLHS are pretty in-depth in terms of service… This year I’m getting at least an hour each day, finish with around 200? I’m not sure what’s considered “a lot”…

Thank you so much for the quick response!

I think you have a very good chance. Your scores are great and you took the most challenging course. I disagree that on the point that you have bad ECs, I don’t think any EC activities are bad, you just have to be passionate about them. You seem to do alot of tutoring which shows commitment.

Anyways now just focus on the essays, make them standout, show the adcom why you really want to go to WUSTL. Good luck.

BME and premed may not be the best idea. BME is a really difficult major and can lower your GPA by a bit.
