immunization deadline

I totally forgot about this. I'm going to get on top of it as soon as possible, but how big of a deal is it that I missed the deadline? I know they won't give you your room key if you don't have the immunization form sent back by move-in day, but I'll have it by then. Will there be any other consequences?

No other consequences. You just won't get your room key and access to your dorm until you get the form in. I think they don't give you your housing assignment either, but I'm not too sure about that one.

SEND THAT THING IN NOW!!!! :)

Well, seeing as it's almost 11 PM there's very little I can do at this very moment, but I'll be in contact with my doctors as soon as I can. ;)

And even if I don't get my housing assignment right away, I'm pretty sure my roommate will!

I waited like 2 years until I finally handed mine in (to be fair, I took my immunizations but the paperwork got lost and I just never did anything to fix it). The only thing Rutgers will do is send you "immunization alert" emails every month at your "my.rutgers" page and hold your transcripts. The only reason I finally got my paperwork when I did was because I wanted to go on a study abroad program and needed transcripts. The administration is like a little dog; all bark, little action.

My guess is that if you're a commuter it affects you less.

If you're dorming then you need to get them in ASAP...I'm a commuter, so they dont really care about me.

Not really, I lived on-campus all four years

I've already sent the forms to the doctor's office. We're just waiting for word that we can pick them up and send them off. Good to know it's not a strict system, though, thanks.

I guess Rutgers really do keep the assignment away from you.

I was lurking the Rutgers facebook group like a creepy old man and saw plenty of kids complain how they didn't receive their assignments because they didn't send in their immunization forms.

It's easy enough to get the form filled out. Your doctor should have the info.

Most schools require a full exam, so filling out an immunization form is not bad.

I forgot as well. I called Health Services and they said no big deal and that I could even fax it...so that's what I will do. Can someone post the link to the form please...thanks in advance.
