IMP: Which APs for business major ?

Which APs will look good while applying for a business major ?
Last day of registration is tomorrow. Please help

The most important are obviously Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Math would help too, so the Calc exams and Stats are also options.

Writing is certainly involved in business, so the English Lang exam couldn’t hurt. Being bilingual makes one a competitive businessperson, so if you know any try that!

Most Important (i.e. required): AP Calculus BC, AP Macro, AP Micro, AP Statistics
Somewhat Important: AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: E&M
Marginally Important: AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science, Any AP Language exam

I mainly applied for business programs and have been in your position before. Based on what I learned during the application process, math skills are extremely important to undergrad business adcoms. I really don’t know why they care about quantitative ability (given that business degrees require few math courses), but you should have A’s in your school’s most difficult math courses. You should also AP Economics as economics is the only AP that’s related to business. AP Statistics is also quite important as every business program requires some background in statistics.

In addition to those four AP’s, you should also take AP Physics C (both exams) if possible. These courses are fairly quantitative and can demonstrate your mathematical ability to adcoms. If you decided to take AP Physics however, be sure to avoid AP Physics B. Adcoms don’t respect AP Physics B because it doesn’t involve calculus and is far easier than Physics C.

IMO, the “marginally important” AP’s will look better on your application than the AP’s that aren’t on this list. If you’ve exhausted the AP’s from the other categories, these courses can make you more competitive when you apply. Feel free to PM me with any questions regarding AP’s. I took all the courses (and exams) listed above aside from the foreign language AP.
