<p>Nice, Sally. Incredible timing. 10 minutes ago S just received a very supportive letter from his instrument’s instructor at a “tier 1” school regarding his music supplement. We have no real context for the feedback and have no idea if it will be a tipping point. Like your comments, he is hoping for it to be icing on the cake.</p>

<p>rom828–Since I’m old and cynical, I have to say that it can be impossible to tell if such responses are a standard part of the college’s recruiting process or if the instructor was especially impressed by your son’s credentials … but probably the latter. In any case, I hope your son replies with a thank-you note and perhaps an update on his musical endeavors since submitting the supplement. And if this school happens to be his first choice, he should mention that, too. </p>
