IF you get a bad score on an AP test, will it really affect whether you get into a good school or not? or are they just used for class placement?

Not really.
I bombed AP LANG, and I still got into one of the prestigous school in my state while other people who did better got wait listed.

SAT II and AP Scores are just for placement.

There are tons of threads on this. But it depends on what kind of “good” school you’re looking for. SAT II scores are not just for placement; for the UCs and the upper tier colleges they are very important because just about everyone will have them (and you better have a very good reason for not having them - the UC apps asks you to explain why u didn’t take SAT IIs if you don’t enter scores). Bad scores on the AP (what do you mean by a “bad” score? a three? or like a one?) will be taken contextually into your app b/c they usually do it holistically…for example, it might reflect badly if you want to major in Math but get a 1 on the Calc BC test. A bad score or even a couple bad ones probably won’t hurt that much, if at all. It depends on your situation, I guess.

lol well you need at least a 3; if u got anything less than 3, they might think about it a little bit…

work on SAT, i dunno why this stupid SAT is so important
