<p>How important are grades for second tier schools? If someone has lots of Bs and Cs, but good essays and high PSAT as well as being full pay, how does that affect your chances?<br>
and do those chances change if you apply as a sophmore?</p>

<p>I don’t think that grades are really important cause it really changes from school to school. School’s quality is very important at that point and don’t worry admission office just knows what to do:) Well, it’s their job right? High PSAT and being full pay absolutely increases your chances. Essays are also important but I think interviews and rec.s are more important. You know some students may take help from others on their essays.
And yes applying as a sophomore does change your chances :(</p>
