Importance of Math II

SO I’m just wondering how important the difference between 790 and 800 is for the Math II subject test.

All other aspects of my application are probably matching the average Yale student, except my subpar math ii subject (790).

My interest (intended major) in uni is history/ english, if that makes a difference

There is absolutely no difference at all because test scores are only one part of your application – and they are not the most important part. Listen to Jeffrey Brenzel talk about test scores on the College Board website: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/get-started/video-transcription/whats-the-most-important-part-of-the-application

Although the article is talking about the SAT, it applies equally to SAT II’s as well.

Phew, that’s reassuring xD Thank you!

No difference at all, especially since you aren’t applying as a STEM major.
