Importance of SATs for international?

<p>How important are the SAT 1s for international students?</p>

<p>I have a friend who is from China, he has around a 2100 SAT, and his grades are like 92 avg. at a very competitive school, making him top 5% of his class, and he is involved in many ec’s with leadership positions, etc. </p>

<p>He is seriously thinking about HYP and other top schools like MIT…are these schools too far of a reach for him?</p>

<p>HYP and MIT are reaches for everybody no matter how competitive you are…but he would still have a good chance at these schools.</p>
