I’m currently enrolled in Tufts, but I may transfer out in case I hate it. I was just wondering how important senior high school grades are? I did not do very well at all fourth quarter senior year so I think I might have like 3 Bs on my report card… If I do really well at Tufts freshman year, will that help?

BTW, I got into Georgetown EA in December. If I wanted to transfer into Georgetown next year, would it be easier to get in because I got in EA?

As a sophomore transfer, your high school transcript will be of prime importance. That includes SAT I/ACT and SAT IIs (depending on the school). That said, I doubt three Bs will destroy your chances at Georgetown.

As for your second question, I am of the opinion that schools are more inclined to offer you admission if you were accepted as a freshman, as my admissions results reflected that almost exactly (assuming that your college record, recommendations, and essays/statements are strong).

Is Georgetown a lot more prestigious than Tufts?
