If my application is excellent from every point of view but my standardized tests scores are very good but still below the stats for top schools (my teachers explained the circumstances in their Rec letters) : am I doomed?
MIT is my dream college and I don’t want my application to go on the reject pile just because I took the SAT on the wrong day…
The problem is that you’re in competition with many who didn’t have a bad SAT day and have an excellent application.
You only took the SAT once? If you were sick that day you should have retaken the test at a later date, finances permitting. How did you do on the SAT II’s that MIT consider to be important?
