<p>Hey, everyone. I was curious as to what people’s opinions would be on this: the Georgetown MA in American Gov’t website suggests that the topic of the writing sample be relevant to my field of interest, but that this is not required. If I apply to this program next year (during my senior year), the only scholarly thesis I will have written will be about the European Union, which is far from my field of interest. However, if I wait to apply until the 2012 cycle, I will have written another thesis which will be relevant. </p>
