We do try those and other stores. We manage, but it does take more looking and she doesn’t have the physical stamina to do extensive clothes shopping, which makes it more challenging.

I find Nordstrom prices quite high and rarely frequent the one store we have; the Rack takes a lot of searching and haven’t had much luck there either. Need a lot of patience and some serendipity.

Being a bit presumptuous, don’t you think?

I included myself in because I did go to the Metropolitan opera and dined at some high-end restaurants with a group of friends…including one where I met Jackie Mason and a few other patrons who were dressed in t-shirts and shorts which was against the restaurant’s pre-2008 economy dress code, but which were actually much more suitable to a 95+ degree humid summer weekend day.

Just out of curiosity, is it true that one can never go wrong with all-black, except for dress shirt and tie unless one’s attending a funeral?

D1 took a boy (lifetime family friend from a large suburban public high school) to a school dance who wore all black-even the dress shirt and tie, though if memory serves the shirt and tie were a different “shade” of black He looked completely awesome, much more sophisticated than the other girls’ dates (who attended the “brother” all boys school to their all girls private).

I personally think you can never go wrong with black. I don’t have a son, though, so I haven’t paid much attention lately.
