Does the scoring work similar to the SAT, where you can only submit your highest scores from each subject? Or are your scores from each particular test linked.

I realize the essay portion is merged with the english, but if I retook it and got a higher essay score would I be able to merge that score to a previous english score?

You can choose which score to send unlike the SAT.

I have never heard of that, few schools allow you to even mix and match sections and I doubt any allow you to mix and match essay scores.

you pick which scores to send, and if you send multiple scores a lot of schools will superscore. I don’t know if they’ll actually mix and match the essay and english for your merged score, but I’m not actually sure they care that much about the merged score… they can easily just see the different essays and english scores.

yeah the merged score doesnt count towards your composite…only the raw english MC score is averaged with math, reading and science
