<p>Keene State has a housing problem that you should know about it, if your D or S is considering the college. If you are looking for the on campus college experience you’ll be disappointed with Keene State. Many students are forced to live in dumpy apartments off campus sooner than they are willing and ready. Residential Life employees might be kind, but in reality there are way too many students than there are rooms/beds. Google Keene State’s Newspaper, The Equinox and then search “housing”. You’ll read first hand that they have been dealing with this problem for years, but it is still not fixed. Living with friends on campus is unlikely. You may get on campus, but not with the friends you chose to live with. Your friends may get on campus housing, while you are out searching for roommates and apartments. My D is waiting to be put on a wait list for next fall and if she isn’t successful in getting on campus housing she’ll be transferring to another college.</p>
