I know this is still a ways off, but for those of you starting community college this year and planning to transfer to UCSB, please be aware of this info:

**…students transferring in Fall 2006 will need a 2.8 UC transfer GPA, and beginning Fall 2007 they will need a 3.00 UC transfer GPA to qualify for the guarantee. **

I haven’t seen this info posted anywhere else besides this article (maybe officially UCSB doesn’t want to post this info yet), but keep in mind that you’ll have to earn a slightly higher GPA to qualify for UCSB’s transfer agreement. I guess UCSB is just getting too popular and requirements have to be raised.
