<li><p>In the penn supplement essay they ask us to write about their “academic” and “social” communities. So if i write about their degree program that appeals to me etc about the diff subjects i want to study there and why, is that part of the academic community ? or are the social and academic communities only the student run organizations ? </p></li>
<li><p>if i apply ed and take sat 2 in november will it hinder my chances of gettin in ? or is it ok to take it in nov and rush my scores ?</p></li>

<p>Call the admissions office about your SAT 2 questions, I think it might be a bit late but I don’t know. Not sure about the academic thing but I think you’ll be fine. The adcoms just wants to know you’ve actually looked at what the school offers and are genuinely interested</p>

<p>I interpreted the question to be about student clubs and extracurriculars but I’m sure you can write about anything that interests you about PENN. I don’t think they care whether you stick right with the prompt or not.</p>
