<p>I’m a to-be Junior and I have an issue. I was semi-bad my Freshman year, however, I turned it around my Sophomore year and hope to improve on this my junior year. Is there room on college applications for competitive universities to state this improvement? Do universities already know/look into these scenarios in the transcripts?</p>

<p>Contrary to popular opinion, GPA is meaningless without a transcript to explain it. They will review your transcript and therefore see your upward grade trend. An upward grade trend will work to your advantage (although it’s still less desirable than great grades all along).</p>
