IMSA Applicant Class of 2018

@priyaluvsbooks‌ @yeldarb1‌
I have a 660-700 MATH and a 500-540 CR

well suppose you have a 700 Math - that’s a really solid score.
Your CR is a little low, but your math score should fix the total score of that area. Don’t worry about it…

@priyaluvsbooks‌
How about a 680 in MATH?

My SAT scores weren’t incredible but doesn’t really matter too much. Don’t stress about them.

@jxuwyrm‌
What were your SAT scores?

@‌MathScience123 Well… a 680 is pretty decent. And suppose you got a 520 in math. That a 1300 total. People get in with that score. And most importantly, you essasy, extracurriculars, reccomendations and GPA. How were they?

@priyaluvsbooks‌
Do you mean 520 on reading?..and then 680 math which would add up to 1200…do people make it with that or less?

@MathScience123‌ It depends where the rest of your application is. There isn’t a single person on this forum who has a perfect application-- The good parts just have to be good enough to balance out the rest

Did anyone else get a higher score on critical reading than math?

@priyaluvsbooks‌ @aminorspark‌
I think I will have great Teacher recs
My GPA is 4.0 excluding one B in 8th grade
I think my essays are good…rate 8/10
I have won multiple state medals in SO, part of math team, scholastic bowl and tutor math

@aminorspark‌
Are you a freshman or what?

@dimsumnoodles‌
I have seen people on this that have gotten higher CR than their Math score

I’m going to opt out of telling any of you my individual scores because I think that it what’s considered “good” or “standard” changes by region. I’m from very far down south so my scores really aren’t a great way to compare yourself to someone from say central or Chicagoland.

@jxuwyrm‌
Do you mind giving ranges of your score?

@MathScience123‌ Huh? Everyone who’s applying is a freshman (aside from the few 8th graders)

I’m a 8th grader and got a 680 on cr and a 780 on math. I honestly have no idea how. @aminorspark‌ @MathScience123‌ @jxuwyrm‌

@YoloSwagMaster‌
Wow, you have a really good chance of being accepted to IMSA

@aminorspark‌
I just thought you may already be in IMSA as a sophomore

My scores were both in the 600s :slight_smile:
