There are 8 blocks per day, each being 55 minutes long. Some classes like sciences are double mods on specific days, so they run for 100 minutes and you get out a little early. You probably already know this, but we have A B C D and I days. No school on I days and a schedule that’s based on the day of the week.
What do sophmores do on I days? I mean, Juniors and Seniors have SIR. And when do classes at IMSA start? And when are they over for the day?
personally, i love biology so i don’t mind taking another course on it, but my only worry was that it would look bad on college apps. but i guess taking bio, physics, and chem in the same year lessens my worry about that. does anyone have info on the way the math curriculum/course progression works at imsa?
oh and for those who took the January SAT test- your scores come out soon!
@yeldarb1 the 13th right?! i didnt take it- my friends did tho…
@priyaluvsbooks i think it might be tomorrow (the 12th)!
It is tomorrow
@MathScience123 Did you apply to IMSA too?!
Yes, male 9th grader if you wondered
Wow this forum has way more activity than last year which is pretty crazy. I guess that more people have just found the forum because there are the same amount of applicants than last year at least based on what I heard from the online session.
Cool dude. How was ur application? @MathScience123
I think my application is pretty good… I am pretty confident with it
On Wednesdays, sophomores do Nav, which is helping you get accustomed to living at IMSA. Classes start at 8:00 and end at 4:15.
So much better than right now, school starts at 7:30, bus comes at 6:20, wake up at 5. What a change!
@theeedog i also think this thread is more active because there is so much time between the submission date and when we get our letters! i know i’m just trying to keep occupied and talking about the nerves and getting questions answered helps calm me down
@priyaluvsbooks
Am a little shaky now with my application after I saw my SAT score
@MathScience123 i’m sure you’ll be okay! imsa looks at everything equally, not just your SAT scores. the rest of your app will probably make up for whatever you think your scores lack
stay positive
@MathScience123 I’m sure you didn’t do that bad. My friend got a 700(math) 690(CR). I got a 700-700 in December so I didn’t give it again. Wish I had tho…
how would a 740 cr and 690 math do?
@yeldarb1 GREAT!! the thing is your composite score is about 1430. Which is amazing. So dnt worry about it.
