@yeldarb1 Yeah, my reading score was 60 points higher than my math score (although both were pretty decent). But I’m sure the admissions officials would look past that and at the composite score instead.

Everyone in this forum has extremely competitive applications, I’m not saying I don’t have a chance, but after reading this I can see that there are clearly people who deserve to get in much more.

@aminorspark No, you guys probably have never heard of my school. I go to Huntley High School. @AviSaxena33 might have heard of it, if you are in Science Olympiad. I went to Palatine HS for a SciO meet. Since I go to HHS, I may have a slightly better chance. But from comparing to what most people have to mine, my application is TRULY embarassing. The only way I am getting waitlisted is by Teacher Recs or my essays. I don’t plan on getting in next year.

@kidfood Huntley’s stats are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than phs. Phs is such a trash school imo cause of the student body now a days. Anyway, more relevant to IMSA, 32% of phs students are eco disadvantaged and 48% of the body is minorities. Also only 30 ish percent of PHS students are not on a free/reduced lunch program.

Yeah, you can test out of chemistry and take a chemistry elective like Organic Chemistry or Environmental Chemistry as an elective, depending on what you have time in your schedule for.
LOL. You guys are a riot! Going from “woe is me I will never get in, you guys have better chances” to “what classes will WE take since we are going to test out of everything!” I love the latter. You should continue with that attitude. Just something to note - Org Chem is probably easier once you have AdChem. There’s a reason why it’s a weed out course for Premeds in college. Enviro might make more sense.
