Though the two waitlisted may not get in. @vniatge
I got in! Really excited. Anyone else get in?
If anyone is interested in being in a group chat with some other people I know that got accepted into the Academy let me know! I’d like to try to know some people before the school year starts.
@andrama28 may i ask you what were your sat scores?
@vniatge go to seams. best experience of my life
@lovehearts119 may i ask you what were your sat scores as well?
@vniatge yes, they were actually low or the average for sat takers. 490 cr 510 math. For that reason I think they don’t really focus on the sat scores, they really just look at the application as a whole. also, they are aware of if you’ve taken the test before. I had never taken it and I had no time to study, as I found out I was applying the week before the sat. Did you get your letter yet?
yeah. I didn’t get in. i’m an 8th grader thoug.
*though @lovehearts119
Aww well there’s always next year! It’s definitely a lot easier for freshmen year
@ptvnicorn you went to seams? I was invited but I’m not sure if I want to go can you give me a short recap?
-sigh- it was so perfect. so the first day, you go in there and move in your stuff into a room, meet your roommate and chill with them for a bit before the main presentation. you sit through that, your parents leave, and fun begins. the first evening is team building, mingling, and pizza. when classes start, they’re really cool, because the instructors are awesome. it’s a full day of enrichment type classes with the people in your group. the only boring part of classes was sat prep. and it was killer. but other than that you do have a bit of hw, which you can easily get done in 30 mins. but you live in the same dorm as everyone and during free time you can go swimming, watch a movie, work out, or just chill. you get super close to people in your group and out. the field trips are cool… one to this place called funway and one to the MSI. I can’t really explain really much else but it was the best time of my life. I meant my best friend, and my boyfriend who I’m still dating, i got a chance to let the admissions people know my name, I learned a lot about imsa, and I had a freaking blast. it’s amazing, but it also goes by quickly. take the opportunity. you will not regret it. @ck1012
that was so inspiring @ptvnicorn
lol I can’t even fully say how great it was but it was just amazing. you will be tired and full of the lovely imsa fries and other snacks when you get home @vniatge @ck1012
@swaggy333 would you guys @SbhattUS be interested @priyaluvsbooks joining a group @yeldarb1 chat with other class of 2018 people? and possibly add some people if you know any
@ptvnicorn do you happen to go to IMSA now? and i’ve heard that their food isn’t that good lol is that true?
Well I’m hooked on going @ptvnicorn and @vniatge
no lol I just got my acceptance letter yesterday. but I lived there for 10 days at seams and I can say that anything potato based at imsa is soooo good. other stuff, meh. I could see it getting boring after a while but it’s not bad. I hear you can go of campus to eat, or even order pizza in sometimes. also you can have snacks in your room so @lovehearts119 and actually @priyaluvsbooks has already created a chat like that. you should ask her to join
That’s awesome congratulations! Are you also a freshmen? And thanks! Are you in the chat?
same here @ck1012. it will really help our apps for next year and it’ll be a great experience. i might see you there!
